Compassion is the personal desire to free yourself and others from suffering. With wisdom, the action of compassion becomes a powerful method that empowers you to develop your inner resources of genuine happiness and remove suffering – both in your own life as well as in the lives of those around you.
The Way of Compassion Foundation is a nonprofit organization that was established to provide education, training, and resources to help individuals, groups, and organizations develop the skills to transform challenges into opportunity. We provide direct support through public education, workshops and training. We are not affiliated with any religious or political parties. Rather we promote an inclusive philosophy, encouraging people to embrace their own values and spiritual beliefs.
All people, regardless of race, religion, gender, or orientation, deserve to live a meaningful and happy life. It is our belief that this can be accomplished when people have the resources and tools to live the life of their choice – with attention and intention. A life that is in alignment with their own values and allows them to flourish. We work with schools, universities, prisons, communities, and other charitable organizations to provide these life tools and resources.
While we offer many programs, we specialize in mindfulness based programs. We are thrilled to be able to offer the Mindful Life Program, a comprehensive mindfulness training that increases mental and emotional balance, physical health, awareness, attention, choice, and effectiveness; while reducing stress and unhealthy mental and emotional states.
